12 12 Gallery announces an open call to artists working with any photographic process to submit entries for its fourth annual National Juried Photography Exhibition. The exhibition juror, Julian Cox, Curator of Photography, High Museum of Art, Atlanta, Georgia, will award up to $1000 in cash prizes.Artists age 18+, working in 2D and 3D that incorporates output from any photographic process, from the US and Canada, may submit 3 images. Additional images may be submitted at additional cost for up to a total of 5 works. Work previously exhibited at 12 12 Gallery is not eligible.Entrants may submit DIGITAL IMAGES online or on CD. Slides may be submitted, but an additional fee of $2.50 will be required per slide, since digital images will be reviewed by the juror. Only one image may be submitted for each 2D work. Up to three images to show dimension or perspective may be submitted for each 3D work. Each set of 3 images constitutes one entry for that specific piece. The image of a diptych or triptych is counted as one work. Work must be limited to a maximum framed or presentation size of 48" wide or weight of 65 lbs.Online Entries. In the body of an E-mail, include your name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address. In this E-mail, please provide file title, work title, medium, framed work size, and sales price for each image you wish to submit. The Bakehouse Art Complex presents The Silo Project. The BAC is looking for an individual to transform its 2 historical Flour Silos (dating back to the 1930s) into a significant community landmark. Each silo has a circumference of 35' and is 41' high. It is an opportunity for local artists to participate and gain experience in public art installation, while adding vitality to the Wynwood Arts District.As these Silos can be seen from I-95 where traffic exceeds 250,000 daily, visibility for this chosen artist will be very high. This project will receive national attention to this historic building located in this growing arts district.Any working artist, resident of the United States is eligible to apply. Projekt30 is taking submissions for our October 2009 publicly juried exhibition. We are an artist-run arts organization dedicated to promoting emerging artists. The exhibition will include thirty artists; invitations will be sent to over 30,000 galleries, collectors, and fellow artists. Visitors have the option of contacting any participating artist with feedback or opportunities. As of Nov. 2008 over 200,000 messages have been sent to participating artists. All artwork submitted will be presented online prior to the exhibition so visitors may help select which artists will be included in the exhibition. Unlike other juried exhibitions, all participants receive exposure. Opens: October 1, 2009. Public Jury: September 15-29, 2009. Deadline: September 1, 2009. Fee: $40 for up to 10 images, though the fee is waived for Projekt30 members and artists who use Projekt30's web-hosting service.
