ALL CHILDREN'S PLAYGROUND AT EDGEMONT PARK
The Township of Montclair is seeking an artist or artists to create an entrance for a new playground designed to be accessible
for children and adults with disabilities as well as for the community at large. The art must include the name of the
playground (All Children's Playground) and some form of donor recognition (20 or fewer names). The hardscape and plantings
will be part of the design.
SELECTION
A Selection Committee comprised of arts professionals and representatives of the community will choose three (3) to four
(4) finalists to prepare proposals. Finalists will be asked to attend an orientation meeting and site visit, and will receive an
honorarium of $400 for completed proposals to be presented to the Committee on or about July15, 2009. Deadline for the
completed commission will be November, 2009.
BUDGET
The final budget for this project will be a minimum of $20,000 with a maximum of $25,000, and must include all design,
fabrication, delivery, artist's insurance and installation costs. A schedule of at least three milestone completion payments will
be developed and agreed between the Township and the selected artist(s).
ELIGIBILITY
This project is open to all artists.

(15) images of completed artworks or projects
Resume
Statement of interest. A brief statement (not more than one page outlining your interest in this project, your general approach
to public art, and willingness to interact with the public. Please note: this is not a request for a specific proposal.
Statement of experience with prior projects that included hardscape and plantings and rough estimate of what portion
of the project cost would be devoted to each element.
