ARTIST OF THE MONTH WINNER
John Kotos is an emerging abstract artist based in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, where he lives with his wife and daughter. He has been painting since 2013 and recently began actively pursuing a career in art. He was nominated as a top Abstract Artist of 2020 and 2021 by the American Art Awards. Recently, his work was used for a concert poster for the band ‘The
Strokes’. Through his paintings, he strives to merge abstraction with the tangible and vibrant life found in the natural world. Read more about John and see more of his work on our Featured Artist of the Month page: https://www.theartlist.com/featured-artists/2022-john-kotos
SECOND PLACE WINNER
Aarti Bhadauria is a terracotta sculptor from Bangalore, India. " I wanted to do something different in life, so I decided to choose my own destination, and started working with terracotta. Terracotta (Baked Earth) is the oldest and ancient medium for art, and I have chosen it to promote it with modern ideas. I want each part of
the world to know about my artwork. With self-developed style, it takes me three to four months to make one sculpture, which speaks life, emotions, and feelings. When I work, I get lost in the clay and does not feel my physical existence. My work is my soul." See more of Aarti's beautiful sculptures here: http://abhirathi.com/
THIRD PLACE WINNER
Anthony Russo is a multi-disciplinary artist from New Jersey. He gets most of inspiration from the sun and sea since he lives near the shore, as well as the mountains of Vermont where he likes to ski. Anthony finds working in a single medium restricts his creativity so he use many different ones including acrylics, oils, pencil, pastels and ink, allowing each
idea to manifest in its own individual style. For his entry, three guitars were sanded and used as canvas. The oriental (round guitar) is called a Yeuqin guitar and it is used by many cultures in the far east and Pacific rim countries. See more of Anthony's awesome art here: https://the3sart.com/
VIEWER'S CHOICE
Dan Graveh is a photographer that was born in Haifa, Israel. Since childhood the camera was his best friend. Dan is very curious to see the world. Traveling with his camera, he made his way across many countries. Exploring the people, faces, colors and nature attracted him the
most. Dan's main interest is to capture moments of people's real life in various situations. His exploration is made through the lens of his camera. See more of Dan's photos here: http://www.art-il.net/Dan.html

PH21 Gallery: –scapes – A Curated International Photography Exhibition
There are all sorts of natural and artificial scenes that capture the attention of photographers, compel and inspire them to pause, observe and create an image for the sake of the scene and convey a personal interpretation of what they see. These types of photographs go by a variety of names; they are called landscapes, cityscapes, streetscapes, seascapes,
waterscapes, cloudscapes, or even desertscapes, treescapes, bodyscapes, and the like. Among these photographs the most successful ones go well beyond the mere recording of the visual qualities of a place as they bear the marks of the interpretive insights of the photographer. They make us contemplate a scene as meaningful and significant. For it is never challenging to merely re-present; it takes a novel conception of the scene to engage us, viewers, through the keen eyes and the creative mind
of the photographer. PH21 Gallery invites photographers to submit their work for a group exhibition themed –scapes. We are looking for submissions from all photographers who are interested in this subject and would like to share their work with a wider international audience through the exposure of PH21 Gallery. The theme is broadly construed, as the photographic portrayal of scenes of the natural and built environment is independent of generic or stylistic constraints. Indeed, we are interested
in all possible creative photographic interpretations of the theme.

NOOBAA | Non-Objective Abstract Art 4th Annual International Exhibition

Non-Objective Art is a pure abstract style that typically uses geometric
motifs on a shallow picture plane. Art that has no illusion of pictorial depth made by linear perspective in the image and is purposely devoid of any references to worldly things or object. Styles include pure abstraction, such as geometric abstraction, neo-plasticism (De Stijl), color field, lyrical abstraction, concrete art, and more but must be unrelated to objective reality. The Chateau Gallery - Call for Entries: Degenerate
In 1937, The Degenerate Art exhibition (Die Ausstellung "Entartete Kunst") was conceived and held in Nazi Germany, where party propagandists portrayed, mocked, and vilified the works of renowned modern artists as evidence of criminality and deviance. Nevertheless, the event was more popular with spectators than the accompanying state-sponsored exhibition
intended to display the more classical type of art advocated by the regime. In the contemporary context, one could suspect a passionate photographer possesses the means, motive, and opportunity to capture the debaucherous image. What is your interpretation of "degenerate," and how does your work oppose the blasé mainstream narrative preferred by the state and status quo?

PH21 Gallery: Portraits Without Faces – A Curated International Photography Exhibition
October 20 – November 12, 2022. Portraiture emerged as one of the most prominent genres of depictive media early in the history of the visual arts; tacit or explicit rules, conventions and cultural expectations have always influenced the ways in which artists approached the genre. Photography is no exception. Numerous different and characteristic styles of
portraiture emerged throughout the history of the medium. We usually assume that faces are necessary components of portraiture; we may, however, learn just as much about the character, the personality of a person by looking at images that depict other parts of their bodies, show us the objects or places associated with them. Not focusing on the face may open up a new dimension of interpretation. Our Portraits Without Faces exhibition is dedicated to this challenging divergence from the more
conventional approaches to the genre. PH21 Gallery invites photographers to submit their work for our group exhibition themed Portraits Without Faces. We are looking for submissions from all photographers who are interested in this theme, and who would like to share their work with a wider international audience through the exposure of PH21 Gallery. The theme is broadly construed; submissions of all kinds of portraits without faces are welcome. Indeed, we are interested in all possible creative
photographic interpretations of the theme.
