bonARTE Events & Creations - Art Series Production: ARTalk

ARTalk Series Season Premiere “Honoring Our Roots”, hosted by Eishamarie Rivera known for her work on television network Telemundo-Orlando in collaboration with Art Company bonARTE Events & Creations, is open for artists' submissions. ARTalk was born from a collaboration between ART and TELEVISION to positively impact the artist community and create a guide to success within the art market. Artists are invited to submit their unique stories & artwork to our Call for artists for the ARTalk Series Season Premiere. We will be selecting a group of artists that are actively working on their art careers and can serve as an example of pursuing their roots as artists to showcase their stories through a short film format production. The stories selected will be part of the script for the art series Season One. The art series will be focused on the work behind each artist's story while the TV Host dissects each artist's experience and amplify it through ARTalk. This is a full production series and selected artists will be co-starring with TV Host Eishamarie Rivera. This is a seasonal open call for artists from every country to be selected for an art series’ first season production. The main languages are English and Spanish– a translator may be available depending on the filming location. All styles and media are welcome. There are no educational requirements to apply to the open call. All submissions will be considered by our Creative Director- Lisa Fuentes and guest curators.

Arts North International is a juried exhibition open to artists from around the world. Solo Photography Exhibition Opportunity at PH21 Gallery, Budapest: January 12 – February, 2023

PH21 Gallery invites photographers to submit their work for a solo exhibition opportunity. Please submit a coherent portfolio that is suitable for a solo exhibition, an artist statement and a short bio. The portfolio should consist of at least 15 and at most 35 images. The submission may include one or two series, provided that the two series are suitable for a joint presentation in a single exhibition. There are no generic, stylistic or thematic constraints; photographers working in all photographic areas, genres and styles are welcome to submit their work. The winner of this competition will be awarded a solo exhibition from January 12 – February, 2023. PH21 Gallery will cover all printing and installation costs for the solo exhibition. In addition to the brick-and-mortar solo exhibition, the work of the winner will also be presented on a dedicated page of our website. The web page will include the artist statement and the bio of the photographer, together with the critical reviews by the curators. Up to 10 other photographers will be offered the opportunity to present a mini-series of three photographs from their portfolio in the "Photographic Visions" group exhibition. Yosemite Renaissance 38 - Juried Fine Art Competition and Exhibition

Yosemite Renaissance is a juried fine art competition and exhibition focused on the landscape, environment, wildlife and people of Yosemite National Park and the California Sierra Nevada. Both representational and non-representational submissions are accepted. Original artwork may be in any fine art medium including the following: painting (any medium); photography/digital; and other (all other two- and three-dimensional media, including drawings, pastels, printmaking, textiles, and all 3-dimensional works). A Juried National Call for Miniature Art - Juror, Patricia Miranda. For centuries, miniature artworks have been created around the world and across cultures dating back to prehistory. These little treasures take many forms, tend to be easily transported and have been created from many materials. Miniatures can be mementoes of loved ones, illuminated manuscripts, paintings, drawings, original prints, etchings, stamps, sculptures, engraved gems, and even carved beads. Unique and distinct among all other arts, the one common rule of thumb for miniature artworks they can be held in the palm of the hand or measure less than 25 square inches in size. The artists’ style when creating miniatures can range from conventional to cutting-edge, limited only by the artist’s creativity.

PH21 Gallery presents: Feminine / Masculine – A Curated International Photography Exhibition

Portrayals of femininity and masculinity are, without doubt, central to a number of art forms, photography not being an exception. The past few decades have given rise to – often heated – discussions and criticisms of past, recent, and current photographic practices for their lack of reflection on the assumptions, stereotypes, and prejudices surrounding photographic approaches to femininity and masculinity. Fine art and commercial works alike have been critiqued for the potential consequences of their approach and presentation. Historically femininity and masculinity have been conceived, among others, as oppositions, as complements of each other, or as positions on a continuum. There are hardly any ways of portraying femininity and masculinity that would or could not be considered trivial, conservative, pretentious, demeaning, distasteful, clichéd or even offensive by some. It often seems that everything has been both said and photographed about this subject, and yet, it is not possible to ignore the persistence of the theme in our contemporary visual culture. What is it that we can still value and possibly revive from the rich history of photography; are there any novel ways left to approach this subject with a fresh critical eye? The theme is broadly construed, as the photographic portrayal of femininity and masculinity is independent of generic or stylistic constraints. Indeed, we are interested in all possible creative photographic interpretations of the theme.

The Crary Art Gallery recognizes the importance for artists of having solo museum exhibitions. We also recognize that in an otherwise under-served part of Pennsylvania, we can help expand our community’s exposure to art by offering temporary, contemporary exhibitions. Portrait Society of America - 25th Annual "The International" Portrait Competition

You are invited to enter the 25th annual "The International" portrait competition, showcasing the finest in portraiture and figurative art today. The International is the world's premier portrait competition and is open to all artists– members and non-members. A variety of mediums is welcomed and encouraged.
