Photographic images are by their nature deeply rooted in personal emotion, regardless of whether they are found or created, and regardless of genre. As photographers who strive to convey our visions in a true and honest manner, we establish an emotional connection to each image we create. We hope, in turn, to share that connection with all who view that image. In so doing, we reveal something of ourselves. For Personal Narrative, we seek images that, through symbolism, metaphor, and personal stories, are ultimately an exploration of self. All capture methods and processes are welcome. We could not be more pleased that Susan Burnstine has agreed to jury Personal Narrative. She will select 35 images for exhibition in the gallery, and another 40 images for exhibition in our online gallery. Fusion Art invites submissions for its first annual charity art exhibition - Art for Animals. This is NOT an online art exhibition. It will be held in the Palm Springs gallery. For this competition artists and photographers are encouraged to share their artistic vision and interpretation of Animals, both domestic and wild. The artwork can range from realism to surrealism to abstraction. Fusion Art has partnered with the Palm Springs Animal Shelter, SNIP, The Living Desert, Animal Samaritans, and the Humane Society of the Desert to host the charity art exhibition. All our partners in this art exhibition for charity are nonprofit organizations that are committed to the humane treatment of all animals and the preservation of life through no-kill philosophies. The Billboard Creative (TBC) is a nonprofit that produces public art shows on billboards in Los Angeles. In 2015 we put up a record number of billboards - 48 - and appeared in such news outlets as "Huffington Post", "Musee Magazine," KCRW's "Art Talk," and the "Los Angeles Times." We are excited to open the call for submissions for our 2016 exhibition. Selected work will be displayed on billboards throughout Los Angeles. Imagine your art viewed on a massive scale, by tens of thousands of Angelenos on their daily commutes. Public art displayed in a quintessential Los Angeles medium. A juried international photography exhibition. November 24 – December 13, 2016. Exhibit in Europe! Portraiture emerged as one of the most prominent genres of depictive media early in the history of the visual arts, and the tacit or explicit rules, conventions and cultural expectations have always influenced the ways by which artists approached the genre. Photography is no exception; numerous different and characteristic styles of portraiture emerged throughout the history of the medium. Today we live in an exciting new era for portraiture. There has never been a time in human history when so many portraits were produced day after day as in the era of digital technologies. Photographers have responded to the cultural, social and technological changes by reinterpreting the age-old genre of portraiture, and it is always an exciting and rewarding task to organize an exhibition for some of the recent achievements in the field. PH21 Gallery invites photographers to submit their work for a group exhibition themed Portraiture. We are looking for submissions from all photographers who are interested in this genre, and who would like to share their work with a wider international audience through the exposure of PH21 Gallery. The theme is broadly construed; from traditional fine art portraits to selfies, people may be portrayed in countless unique ways. Indeed, we are interested in all possible creative photographic interpretations of the theme.

Atelier Progressif Creative Space in Catskill, NY, is interested in pushing the boundaries of digital art and technology. O.U.R. is a nonprofit that rescues children around the world from sex trafficking. One hundred percent of submission fees will go toward O.U.R and rescuing these children. Beyond Printmaking 5 is a national art competition and exhibition organized by the Landmark Arts Gallery and the Printmaking Area at the Texas Tech University School of Art in conjunction with the BP5 Symposium, spring 2017. Many contemporary artists who originally started with printmaking as their primary medium find ways to create visually captivating and socially or politically engaging discourses through interdisciplinary printmaking approaches. All media including time-based and installation will be considered. Work must be original and completed within the last 2 years and is open to professional artists living in the U.S., 18+ of age. $40 for up to three entries, $5 each for up to two additional entries submitted for a total of 5 entries. Embracing Our Differences is accepting submissions for its 14th annual outdoor juried art exhibit celebrating diversity and inclusion to be displayed April - May 2017 in Sarasota, FL USA. 42 artists will be selected and national and international submissions are encouraged. Since 2004, the exhibit has been viewed by more than 2,200,000 visitors. Final selections will be made by a 3-judge panel of art professionals. $3,000 (US) in awards will be presented.
