Are you interested in building your photographic career by getting in front of the right audience? In the past, galleries played an important role in representing and nurturing artists. However, that system can no longer support the amount of good artists who seek representation today, or who are working in unconventional media and forms. Through Photo Independent, artists can directly present and discuss their work with curators, gallery directors, dealers, collectors, editors, publishers, writers, educators, and cultural organizations, those who seek to find, invest in, promote and support the finest established, emerging and undiscovered artistic talent available today.

Applications are now being accepted for Photo Independent 2017. The ground-breaking art fair returns for it's 4th year, April 21-23, 2017, at The Reef in downtown Los Angeles, California. Photo Independent is a fair where individual photographers present their work to thousands of visitors in one weekend.

The annual showcase provides a forum for direct exchange of ideas and contacts between photographers, collectors and art professionals. Photo Independent provides potential exhibitors with the unique opportunity to present their work to global decision makers - curators, galleries, collectors, editors and publishers - who seek to acquire, publish and commission the best photographic talent today.

A non-refundable application fee of $95 is required. If you are selected this $95 fee is deducted from the price of your booth. If you are selected to participate in the fair, a deposit of 50% will be required to hold your spot.

Juror
This year Paul Martineau, Associate Curator at The Getty Museum, will be reviewing every photographer and their booth at this year's Photo Independent, and will be awarding the "Best of Show".
