Art is a powerful tool to evoke social change. Without uttering a single word, artists can enlighten, educate and effect change around the world.

Since 2004, Embracing Our Differences has used the power of art and prose to promote diversity. One way we accomplish this is through our annual international art exhibition in Sarasota’s Bayfront Park. The juried exhibit consists of 45 billboard-size images, each work of art is created by local, national and international artists reflecting their interpretation of our theme "enriching lives through diversity and inclusion."

Embracing Our Differences invites you to participate in creating a world where differences are embraced and individuality is celebrated. Become a part of this exciting change through your visual art submission to the annual Embracing Our Differences international juried competition. The winning artworks combine a deep understanding of both medium and message.  The statements accompanying each artwork are also vital and provide insight into our common humanity—as well as the differences that make us all unique.

Over 2.5 million people have visited the exhibition since 2004. The upcoming exhibit will be displayed from January 19, 2019 through March 14, 2019 in Sarasota's Bayfront Park.
