GRAND PRIZE WINNER
Peter Hazel is this month's Artist of the Month, winning $75 to Jerry's Artarama. In 2008 Peter visited Barcelona and found his artistic voice. Since then he has been creating stunning mosaic sculptures in ceramic, tile and glass. Primarily depicting the natural world, Peter is a master of form and scale and imbues his pieces with energy and vibrant color palettes that reflect his love of nature, simple

SECOND PLACE WINNER
Anzhelika Doliba wins second place and $50 to Jerry's Artarama with "New York City Police Department”. NYCPD is a silverpoint drawing on plike paper over the thin casein paint layer. 37”x19”. Anzhelika says: My new work is setting a new standard for using casein and silverpoint together. Silverpoint was a drawing medium used by the great artists of the Renaissance such as Leonardo Da Vinci, Raphael, Durer and
Michelangelo."

Ernest Ruiz Bry wins third place and a $25 gift certificate to Jerry's Artarama with his collage of Muhammad Ali, titled "The Greatest." This collage was created with over 25,000 of hand cut & glue paper on plywood. Ernesto specializes in collage portraits of athletes. His work has been displayed worldwide from Argentina to Kuwait and he has won numerous awards in Europe and the Americas.
VIEWER'S CHOICE
Amita Bhakta was chosen to be Viewer's Choice winner for August. Her painting, "Khichideewala" is inspired by all those who find there moments of stillness when they cook. Khichidee is a comfort food from India made from rice and split lentils and vegetables. Originally from India, this for all the foodies around the globe who loves street food.
Amita says "To me my paintings are like sonnets which tell stories with just a few colors, lines, shapes and with it my senses become challenged, excited, and enthralled. And if paintings are like sonnets then my clay works to me are haikus whether it is functional or non functional work with most modest medium there is interesting tales in them. In any medium my works are feasts for the eyes, challenges for the brain, and satisfaction to my soul."

COLOR 2019, 3rd Annual Exhibit. Pure and raw. A splash of color, lines of colors, dabs of color, colored fabric, colored hair, color color color! Throw yourself full force into the world of color and unleash your creativity! This exhibit is going to highlight color in every way. The 3rd Annual COLOR Exhibit is here this 2019! Color theory is taught in art foundation training. Remember the color wheel, primary colors, and secondary colors? And how they can play off each other. An entire
generation of artists influenced by abstract expressionism created a movement called Color Field painting. This isn't the 50s and 60s when great artists like Mark Rothko, Joan Miro, Jackson Pollock, Helen Frankenthaler, Clyfford Stil roamed the streets of New York made their mark. However, we now have electronics, neon, LEDs, Post-It notes, computers, videos, markers, and endless other new arrays of materials and tools to use. We want to see what you can imagine when you get colorful! We are
looking for all types of works--painting, sculpture, photography and more--works that show off your ability and creativity with color. Small and large formats. Give viewers and collectors a chance to see what color can do for them... The main criteria for selection is creativity and fresh approaches in the artwork.

Contemporary Art Gallery Online announces their 6th Annual International 2019 “ALL Animal” Online Art Competition to be held from July 15th, 2019 to August 11th, 2019. Contemporary Art Gallery Online encourages entries from all 2D and 3D artists regardless of their experience or education in the art field. A group exhibition of all entrants will be held online at Contemporary Art Gallery Online from August 13th, 2019 to September 10th, 2019. Artists should submit their best
representational and non-representational art. This competition will be judged on Painting/Drawing, Photography/Digital Art, and Mixed Media/3D art. Awards will be given for the top 5 to 8 works selected, (this will depend on the number of submissions in each category). In addition to the winning images, depending on the amount and the quality of the entries received, Honorable Recognition awards will also be presented. Winners will be announced on August 27th, 2019. Entry Fee: $15 for up to
three images and $25 for up to five images. Funds in US Dollars.Prizes include Memberships to Contemporary Art Gallery Online, Extensive Marketing, Winner’s Certificates, Event Collateral and much more.

"WET PAINT" Call for Entry - Online Art Show

THEME- "Wet Paint" This show is open to any subject matter as long as it is 2D and uses any type of paint. PAY IT FORWARD- We will be donating 10% of all entry fees from this show to Habitat for Humanity. Habitat for Humanity’s vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Colors of Humanity Art Gallery, LLC is not affiliated with Habitat for Humanity. ELIGIBILITY- All artists 18 and over may enter. MEDIA- 2D work in any type of PAINT. JUDGING CRITERIA- Originality,
interpretation, quality, demonstration of ability, and usage of medium. JUROR- Janelle Cogan. ENTRY FEE- $20 for 1 or 2 pieces (You may enter more than once if you have additional works.) AWARDS- Cash prizes will be given. Additionally, the "Best of Show" winner will be featured. His or her artwork will be on the cover of the show and it will be largely displayed with an article about them and their work. Other winners will be featured and have similar recognition. All accepted works will be
displayed with the artist name, title of work, and a link back to their website, or email address if they do not have a website. SALES- All sales are conducted solely between the artist and the buyer. Colors of Humanity Art Gallery does not handle any part of the sale or collect any commission.

Curating Jurors: Joanna Szupinska-Myers, Senior Curator, California Museum of Photography (UCR | CMP); Joel Ferree, Director, LACMA Art + Technology Lab, L.A. County Museum of Art. Enter our juried competition for digital art and photography. Entrants submit three JPEG files of original work. All styles of artwork and photography where digital processes of any kind were integral to the creation of the images are acceptable. The selected winner receives 10 prints up to 44x60 inches on

The Naples Art Association is now accepting entries for the 53rd Founders Juried Awards Exhibition, a national exhibition open to artists residing in the United States. The brick-and-mortar exhibition will be on view in Naples, Florida from Dec. 6, 2019 - Jan. 9, 2020 and is open to all media, subject matter and genres of artwork created after Jan. 1, 2015. The jurors are: John Loscuito, Art Gallery Director, Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers; Robert Lovejoy, Art Professor at
American University in Washington, D.C. and Erin Palmer Szavuly, Associate Professor and Art Dept. Chairperson at Lourdes University in Sylvania, Ohio.
