Left Coast - Summer National Juried Exhibition - Call For Entries
THEME: The name “Left Coast” brings up compelling images of sun-swept beaches,” tech start-ups, L.A. glamour, left-leaning politics and… Portlandia?! Is it a place or a state of mind? Artists will illustrate left coast themes with artwork that conveys openness, beauty, diversity, election-year issues, resistance, and respect for nature and all
living things. 2D and 3D work accepted in all media.
JUROR: Ken Harman Hashimoto. Ken Harman Hashimoto is a curator, gallerist and arts writer based in New York City. His eponymous gallery space, Hashimoto Contemporary, was founded in San Francisco's Lower Nob Hill neighborhood in 2013. Six years later he expanded with a second location in New York City's Lower East Side. Both galleries present rotating monthly exhibitions featuring solo or group shows with a focus on emerging contemporary
artists.
AWARDS: $900 in awards. Non-monetary Honorable Mention awards may be given at Juror’s discretion.
June 6 - July 19, 2020
Reception: June 6, 5pm – 7pm
All entrants must be U.S. resident artists 18 and over. You are invited to submit up to 5 digital images of your original artwork completed in the past five years, not previously shown in a MarinMOCA or Artists of MarinMOCA exhibit. Artists currently represented by the juror are ineligible for this call. This exhibit is open to all art media. Only online entries with digitally uploaded images will be accepted.
