We are thrilled to recognize a few fantastic artists who submitted their work to our monthly art contest in February: 1st Place: Jenny Kim 2nd Place: Stacey Kolbig, 3rd Place: Kathy Copsey, and most audience votes Viewer's Choice: Greg Perez. Honorable mentions go to: Aubrey Chali , Alan Richards, John Walker, and Taryn Alessandro.
Do you follow us on any of our social media pages? We post new calls several times a week - and occasionally some of them have a very short submission window. If you aren't following us on Facebook, Twitter, or Pinterest, you might be missing some calls!
Wishing you a fantastic and creative July.

After 2002, she embarked on her personal artistic endeavors through fine art, which have since been selected and exhibited by international art competitions in Seoul, Tokyo, New York, Hawaii, New
Jersey, Ohio, etc, many of which she has received awards for both domestically and internationally. See more of her work and read her AOM interview at: https://www.theartlist.com/aom_07_20.html

She is a recent recipient of the Regional Initiative Grant of The Connecticut Office of the Arts. Prior to teaching, she worked in the architectural field as a graphic designer.

While she focuses on pencil drawings, freehand digital drawings, and acrylic & oil paintings, she also enjoys working with other mediums as well including writing,
music composition, photography, & videography. Visit Kathy's website to see more of her work at: https://www.kathycopsey.com/
VIEWER'S CHOICE WINNER:
Our viewer's choice winner is Greg Perez. Greg's strategy when designing is to be very flexible, nearing from art deco and pop art, as well as illustration and typographical works that are colorful and full of life. His design aesthetic usually consists primarily of the idea to seize ones attention immediately, which then permits the viewer to focus on the piece and take in what’s actually being said. DEADLINE JULY 13, 2020
PH21 Gallery - Call for Entries: Urban @ Barcelona
Calls for Submissions - Photography Photo Gallery
A curated international photography exhibition. August 20 – 30, 2020, PH21@Barcelona. A PH21 Gallery Exhibition in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. Urban spaces have always been significant sources of inspiration for photographers for a very good reason; the dwelling places of much of humanity provide intensified experiences of how we shape our environment and how we live in the environment we create for ourselves. Cities offer a bounty of visual stimuli for the eye and the camera to catch.
The structural beauty of the still lines and shapes of the buildings and streets provide for exciting compositions. The ever-changing swirl of the streets challenges us to capture precious passing moments. Urban life shows an entirely different face during the day and with the lights on at night. Cities are usually busy with action, but recently we have experienced empty streets as well. There are endless ways of portraying the life of the inhabitants of cities, endless ways for photographers to
construct their unique interpretations of what urban environments mean for them.PH21 Gallery invites photographers to submit their work for a group exhibition themed Urban. We are looking for submissions from all photographers who are interested in this subject and would like to share their work with a wider international audience through the exposure of PH21 Gallery. The theme is broadly construed; urban environments may be portrayed visually on personal or social levels, from cityscapes to
street photography, from documentary works to abstract compositions as well.

DEADLINE JULY 20, 2020
PH21 Gallery - Call for Entries: Monochrome
Calls for Submissions - Photography Photo Gallery
A curated international photography exhibition. August 27 – September 19, 2020. Monochrome photography is usually associated with black and white images. However, in the history of photography other hues, such as sepia and cyan were also used, and today there are countless examples of monochromatic images whose photographic qualities are based on the tonal range of various other colours. While monochromacity used to be a technological limitation for a long time, today it is more of an
artistic choice. Photographers may opt for working with the shades of just one colour for compositional reasons or for reasons related to the expressive content of their images, and therefore their decision is to be interpreted. Our appreciation of contemporary monochromatic images is also rooted in the knowledge that the lack of colour range is significant and meaningful, not merely a technological limitation. PH21 Gallery invites photographers to submit their work for a group exhibition themed
Monochrome. We are looking for submissions from all photographers who create black and white or other monochromatic images and would like to share their work with a wider international audience through the exposure of PH21 Gallery. We welcome submissions from all photographic genres, including abstract compositions. We are interested in all possible creative photographic interpretations of the theme.
