    Happy February from TheArtList.com!

We hope that you are doing well and finding plenty of time this winter to focus on your creative endeavors. It is a great time of the year to hunker down, be slighly selfish with your time, and get some work done. It is also a great time to set the stage for the rest of your year by looking for art calls to enter. From the other side, we are seeing tons of art call and opportunity submissions coming through for exhibitions later this spring. Be sure to login often to see whats new.

For those of you that are new to TheArtList, our monthly newsletter only showcases a small sample of featured listings. We have a ton more in the online database. For Premium Members, there is a great little feature on your member homepage that allows you to view all of the new submissions since the last login. When you see something of interest, just click on the "save to favortites" link at the bottom and it will automatically be saved into your "My Opportunities" Manager for later reference. We had one member last year who submitted to 80+ calls and found the "My Opportunities" Manager extremely useful. Now we understand that most artists do not enter that many art calls a year, but just being able to save your favorites is a helpful feature. If you are a Free Member, we highly recommend upgrading to a Premium Membership. The cost is only $15/year and having the ability for advanced search, and to save and manage your favorites is well worth the small membership fee. Upgrading is as simple as clicking on the Upgrade link in your member area.

In our last newsletter we mentioned some new features in the ArtList development pipeline. Hopefully by the end of the month we will be launching a beta test of a new Premium Member Gallery section. Without giving too many details, the purpose of our new Premium Gallery section will be to give you exposure to the very galleries and organizations that are actively looking for artists and photographers. We will be essentially doing what other galleries websites and personal websites are unable to do, bring traffic to your Premium Gallery from those lookig for artists and photographers. This is very exciting and I will let you know more about this as things progress.

Submit A Testimonial, Get Some Exposure

On another note, If you like what we do, please take a few minutes to submit a personal Testimonial by clicking on the link in your member area: (https://www.theartlist.com/submit_testimonial.php)

By submitting a testimonial, you get a nice bit of exposure and a link to your website. To see the new testimonials section go to: http://www.theartlist.com/testimonials.php

February 2009 Artist of The Month
This month we are excited to showcase Vermont Artist Ailyn Hoey as the February 2009 Artist of the Month. Please take a moment to view Ailyn's AOM page, her charcoal landscape drawings are quite interesting and inspiring: https://www.theartlist.com/aom_02_09.html

Wishing you all a safe and creative February.
