    Happy New Year from TheArtList.com!

Wow, I can hardly believe that the New Year is upon us. We have been seeing some great submissions coming in and even with the unsettled economy; the art world seems to be ramping up nicely for 2009. This is always a fun time of year with the holiday distractions behind us and the chance to kick start the New Year with starting over. That said, for all of you that made resolutions to take your art career to the next level we have just the conference for you! In between the holiday shopping and spending time with family, you may have seen the email I sent out about the upcoming smARTist Telesummit09. The smARTist telesummit is a phone/webcast art career event that runs for about a week in the middle of January and features a fantastic group of art career experts that will be discussing a wide variety of career related topics. Last year's telesummit was a huge success and this year's is supposed to be even better. If there is one resource or advice I could recommend for 2009 it would be to check out the smARTist Telesummit09.

As you may know, TheArtList.com is continually evolving and growing. We have come a long way since 2003 and we will soon be launching a whole new member gallery section. Without giving too many details, the purpose of our new gallery section is to give you exposure where exposure matters most - right with the very galleries and organizations that are actively looking for artists and photographers. We will be essentially doing what other galleries websites and personal websites are unable to do. This is very exciting and I will let you know more about this as things progress.

If you like what we do, take a few minutes to submit a personal Testimonial by clicking on the link in your member area. This is a new section that we recently added and could use some good testimonials - its also great exposure for you as well (wink, wink).
