Call for Artists - Deadline: September 8th, 2013

  • Exhibition & viewer voting -  September 10- 19
  • Winners announced -  September 20, 201
Judging
Our site administrator & 2 independent Gulf Coast artists (3 judges) will narrow the entries to 15 finalists & be placed on our site for a  10 day viewer vote to determine the winners.  (We believe a 'viewer vote" encourages the community to interact with local art & artists creating new art buyers). 

Judges:  Jennifer Saucier-Googins, MS, Tamour Allen, LA & one more to be announce. Entries will be judged on the following criterion:
  • Presentation:  Your images represent your art.  Please make sure theyare clear and cropped to include only the art
  • Originality:  Show us and the Coast something only you could create.
  • Composition:  The placement or arrangement of visual elements or ingredients in a wok of art or a photograph, as distinct from the subject of a work.
  • Theme:  How well your photography relates to the contest theme.
Fees:
$5.00 per image.  No Limit on entries.

Theme:
We are looking for photographs of people un posed and in their natural state; expressing emotion.  Show us an image that evokes emotion from the viewers or makes us wonder what the subject is thinking or going through at that moment. Mild editing allowed.

Prizes

1st Place
  • $500 in Cash!
  • Highlighted in our site and next newsletter as "Best in Show" & promoted nationally through paid Facebook advertising for 7 days.
  • Your art will be permanently placed in our winners archives.
  • We will create a free "featured listing" for your art in our directory.
14 Additional Award Finalists
  • The artwork  of the "runner ups" will be placed on this website indefinitely in winner archives.
  • Your art will be seen by thousands during our "viewer vote".
  • Listed in our next newsletter.
