Exciting new opportunity
for young filmmakers around the world. The inaugural International
Youth Film Festival is seeking submissions in four categories –
Documentary, Narrative, Social Action, and Experimental from video
artists between the ages of 13 and 18. $4,000 in cash prizes. No Entry
Fee.
About Us
The
mission of the International Youth Film Festival is to help emerging
filmmakers from high schools around the world reach the broadest
possible audience and to generate international dialogue through
cinema. The International Youth Film Festival (IYFF) is organized by
high school filmmakers who are committed to creating a community of
artists around this annual event.
Submit
a Film
Narrative
Films submitted in the Narrative category should not exceed 20 minutes
in length. Narrative films are defined as those that tell or reveal a
story. Keep this in mind while selecting pieces to submit to this genre.
Documentary
This category accepts brief, informative films that can be classified
as documentary shorts. Pieces submitted should not exceed 20 minutes.
Experimental
Experimental films are those that cannot be defined by any of the other
genres highlighted by the IYFF. Films in this category should not
exceed 15 minutes in length and should strive to embody indefinable
creativity.
Social Action
Films that may be submitted to the “Social Action” category include
public service announcements, exposés, and videos created with the
purpose of illuminating or solving contemporary social and global
issues. Social Action submissions may not exceed 20 minutes.
