A National Juried Art Competition

Call for Entries - Deadline: March 15th, 2014

Attention Artists! Get your work prepared for entry into the 2014 Gateway to Imagination: A National Juried Art Competition. Open to all artists 18 years or older residing in the United States, except Farmington Museum employees. Entries must be artist’s original work. The artwork must have been completed after January 1, 2013 and cannot have been shown in previous Gateway to Imagination juried shows. All types of media will be considered, no theme is required.

Awards
Best of Show - $750
First Place - $500
Second Place - $300
Third Place - $200
Six Honorable Mentions - (each) $ 50
Up to $1,000 in PurchaseAwards.
NWNMAC ChoiceAward - $200
Juror’s Choice - $500

A 25% commission will be charged on works sold during the exhibition.

Entry Fees
Entry fee of $35.00 total for a maximum of two slides or digital files.

Calendar
  • March 15: Deadline for entry fee; delivered contracts; SASE; slides/digital files.
  • April 3: Museum will send notification letters, whether or not the art has been accepted, and additional shipping/presentation instructions.
  • April 17-26: Receive shipped artwork.
  • April 17-21: Receive hand-delivered artwork
  • May 10: Exhibition opens
  • May 17: 6pm - 7pm - Juror Lecture. 7pm - 9pm - Exhibition Reception
  • July 12: Show Closes
  • July 17-19: Artists must pick-up hand-delivered artwork
  • July 25: Deadline for Museum to ship artwork back
