NVAL 2014
INTERNATIONAL JURIED PHOTOGRAPHY SHOW
Call for
Photographers - Deadline: March 10th, 2014
This show is open to all photographers. All forms of photographic
expression are encouraged: from film-based to digital capture -- black
and white darkroom to digital manipulation and alternative processing
-- montages to hand-colored photographs. All entries must be the
entrant’s original work, i.e. the capture of the image as well as dark
room and digital processing. This does not preclude the use of
professional labs for printing, resizing, and film development. Images
previously accepted into a NVAL International Juried
Photography Show are not eligible.
The North Valley Art League is a non-profit, all volunteer
organization. Your entry fees cover the prize money and other expenses
of running the photography show. Any remaining monies help fund the
operating expenses of the NVAL Carter House Gallery so that we can
continue our goal of furthering the visual arts in the Northern
California region.

JUROR –
Crista Dix
We are
very proud to have as our juror, Crista Dix, the Founder and Director
of WALL-SPACE GALLERY originally opened in Seattle,
Washington and now transplanted to Santa Barbara, California. Starting
in this creative field as a photographer, collector and lover of the
visual image, Crista decided to put down her camera and utilize her
years of business management to help promote photographers and
photography. With a background in science, business and creative arts,
she has created a gallery space that celebrates artists' vision. Ms.
Dix has been a member of numerous panels and discussions on photography
and photographic process and juried many creative competitions. She has
participated in major portfolio reviews across the country in Houston,
Portland, Los Angeles, Santa Fe, Chicago and New Orleans.
