The
next edition of the EMERGING FOCUS International Photography
Competition - EMERGING
FOCUS Barcelona - is here. Proudly sponsored by photo l.a.
and Le Meridien Barcelona, and open to all international artists ages
13 and older.
Each
year, the finalists from EMERGING FOCUS are given the opportunity to
truly break into the world of Fine Art Photography with momentum,
emerging from anonymity and placed directly into the world of
top-notch, elite Fine Art Photography. In partnership with the
world-renowned Los Angeles International Photographic Art Exposition,
photo l.a., winners of past Emerging Focus competitions have been
picked up by notable galleries, museums, international magazines, and
more.
This year, EMERGING FOCUS finalists will be transported
into the heart of the European art scene, and will be exhibited
internationally at a gallery in the heart of Barcelona, Spain. One
Grand Prize Winner will receive a trip to Barcelona for 4 nights on
behalf of Le Meridien Barcelona to be on-site for the EMERGING FOCUS
Barcelona Grand Opening Reception, to meet with Spanish gallery owners
and media outlets, and to take advantage of the incredible photo
opportunities that the city itself presents on a special VIP
photo-based tour of Barcelona's most inspiring sites, complete with
Spanish food tastings at some of the most authentic eateries in the
city.
EMERGING FOCUS proudly joins forces with the
beautiful Le Meridien Hotel, Barcelona. Perfectly positioned for
discovering the rich artistic heritage represented by Barcelona’s
museums, music and architecture, Le Meridien is located on the city’s
most famous street, Las Ramblas. With examples of Gaudi’s architecture,
the Liceo Opera House, MACBA, and the Gothic Quarter – all main
attractions – within walking distance of the hotel, the EMERGING FOCUS
Barcelona Grand Prize Winner will have the opportunity to truly immerse
themselves in the local culture, and to capture the elements of this
unique and inspired city through their own lens.
