Dacia
Gallery invites emerging and established artists to participate in an
exciting summer Artist Residency program in New York City. Dacia's
Artist Residency provides an academic program to inspire, refine and
redefine the creative direction of artists in a painting intensive
two-week program. The application is open to visual artists worldwide,
including all mediums and styles of artwork. The residency is on a
first come, first served, basis, with a limit of only 12 available
spots for artists to participate. We are accepting artists that want to
dedicate their time to painting, learning the ins and outs of the New
York art world and exploring all the wonderful opportunities that the
city has to offer artists. Art classes will alternate between
figurative and plein air painting, the business of art, guest speakers
and lecturers. We will explore the contemporary art galleries of
Chelsea and the Lower East Side and visit the great museums of New
York. Additionally, an exhibition and opening reception will be held
for the participating resident artists at Dacia Gallery. This is a
wonderful opportunity to study and paint in NYC.
