Lakes “Small Works” 2D – 3D Juried Exhibition
Call
for Artists - Deadline: September 5th, 2014
ELIGIBILITY
Open to anyone 18 years or older residing in any of the eight Great
Lakes states. These are Illinois, Indiana,
Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
ENTRY FEE
The entry fee (non-refundable) is $25.00 for the first 3 pieces of
artwork and $5.00 per piece after that, not to exceed 6 entry pieces
total. Fee is payable either by check, made out to Riverside
Arts Center, or online via Credit Card or Paypal.
CASH PRIZES (total $1300)
Awards in the 2D & 3D Categories
- 1st Place – $250 / Each
- 2nd Place – $150 / Each
- 3rd Place – $100 / Each
- People’s Choice Awards – $300

GUIDELINES FOR ENTRY
- 2D work must be no larger than 12″ on either
side, including frame, if framed.
- 3D work must be no larger than 12″ on any side
and weight no more than 40 lbs.
- Work must be completed within the last two
years and not previously exhibited at Riverside Arts Center.
- No work under the supervision of an instructor
is allowed. Works may be executed in any medium.
- Artists may submit up to 6 entries total, even
if entering both 2D & 3D.
ABOUT
THE JUROR
Norma
Penchansky-Glasser holds a B.S. in Education and M.A. in
Fine Arts. She is well known for her human figure in motion series,
both in line drawings and figurative sculptors.
She has won national, statewide and local awards, including the Medal
of Honor from the National Association of Women Artists.
Norma’s work is in sixteen major collections in five different states,
including a monumental outdoor sculpture in Oklahoma City.
In 2003 she earned the Berkowitz Gallery Purchase Award. Norma is also
part owner in the Washington Street Gallery in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Her work has won awards and been exhibited nationwide. It can be found
in both private and on-loan collections in Michigan, Missouri,
California, Washington, South Carolina, New York and Arizona. Although
she is retired, Carolyn is still very active in the art community
around Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor, MI.
