a Young Artist - $5,000 Scholarship

This year, with the help of our sponsors, to empower a young artist, we
are offering a financial award of $5,000 as well as $500 in
art supplies from JerrysArtarama.com
to a Graduate Student,
Undergraduate Students or High School Senior who is going into the
arts! We will also provide a supply pack full of art supplies, worth up
to $250, to the students chosen school’s Art Department!

teachers to nominate an art student at a chance to receive a $5000

How
do I
apply?
There are two ways to apply:
- Students
- Nominate Yourself: Are you a student in a fine art program or are you
headed into one? All you have to do is fill out the form, tell us your
story, and show us your work!
- Teachers
- Nominate a Student: Teachers, do you have a student who is aspiring
to be an artist? Nominate them and, if your student is awarded the
scholarship, your class will receive a $250 Supply Pack as well! (Pick
from Watercolor, Oils, Drawing or Acrylics)
- Applicants/Nominees must be pursuing an
undergraduate or graduate degree in one of the design/visual arts
disciplines such as painting, drawing, sketching, illustration
(excluding fashion design, interior design, film, music or the
performing arts) and plan to enter a career in the creative
professions. They must be matriculated (or planning to matriculate) at
qualifying colleges, universities or art institutions in the United
States for the Fall 2014/Spring 2015 academic year and intend on
maintaining full-time status for the entire year. Entries are limited
to one per person and one per email address per award.
How
are the recipients determined?
Entries will be evaluated by a jury of creative professionals and a
recipient chosen based up the criteria previously set forth with
emphasis on the essay and artwork submitted. The recipient will be
chosen in November 2014 and will be notified via email during the same
time frame.
All entries
must be received (not postmarked) in completion by October 31, 2014.
Late applications will be disqualified.
