WATERCOLOR WORKSHOP with LUKE BUCK
Following
the rules, bending the rules, and breaking the rules, to create Fine Art
The term “Artist”,
can be defined as being a “Master at ones craft”. Whether it is as a
painter, sculpturer, or other mediums, each artist strives to achieve
the finest results to the best of their ability. Often this
accomplishment is achieved with the encouragement, tutelage or sharing
with their peers as we all learn from each other. This is where a
workshop shines.
One of my favorite
quotes is by artist Clark Hulings; “An artist who
says he is self taught and draws from his own knowledge is depending on
a limited resource, and runs the risk of repeating himself.”
Luke’s workshops
are very informal, no dress code, no pop quiz or test, no pressure,
simply a motivational, creative, and inspirational environment with
enjoyment and camaraderie among fellow artist and friends.
The class is structured for the beginner, intermediate, or advanced
student according to each individuals ability. Luke will begin each day
with a demonstration, and informal question-and-answer discussion on
many aspects of watercolor painting from start to completion.
Then Buck will demo as students work along on a step-by-step painting
with one-on-one instruction, and critiques. Working indoors we will be
painting from photographs furnished by the instructor. Each day subject
matter or theme will change offering a variety of studies concentrating
on not only learning new techniques but also simply on the fun and enjoyment of
watercolor painting.
