This Month's Notable Calls... Greetings from TheArtList.com!
“Go and make interesting mistakes, make amazing mistakes, make glorious and fantastic mistakes. Break rules. Leave the world more interesting for your being here. Make. Good. Art.” ~Neil
Gaiman
Wow.. November. Where has this year gone? November is a time of Thanksgiving for those of us in the United States. Here at TheArtList, we are thankful for the thousands of artists, photographers, and galleries who have been a part of TheArtList over the last decade. You are what keeps us motivated and inspired!
Have a very happy (and creative!)

Congratulations to TheArtList.com's November Artist of the Month Grand Prize Winner, Chris Walker. Chris says: "I am a painter born in Oxford and spent my formative painting years in Abingdon and Sunningwell. My paintings have followed my career as an engineer through Bavaria to Provence where I have maintained a studio over the last for 8 years." You can check out Chris's Artist of the Month interview

November 2nd Place Winner
Congratulations to TheArtList.com's 2nd Place Winner - Monte Arnold.
Monte specialize in physiques and landscapes. He says: "My goal for every shoot is to create images that enter the eyes and stay in the mind, making you want to go back and see them repeatedly."
November Viewer's Choice Winner
Congratulations to Viewer's Choice Winner - Sheila Fein. Sheila says:
Fantasy Pop is how I have come to describe my work. I view the world in a fantastical and dreamlike way and I am enamored with contemporary popular culture. Everything is always new to me and I delight in experimentation. Odd moments with people, the natural world, and objects catch my attention. I seek to surprise the viewer and myself with unexpected perspectives. My philosophy is to work without the critic on my shoulder and let my imagination guide me. I am about letting go and following the
strongest voice in my head.

| | DEADLINE NOVEMBER 23, 2015 PH21 Gallery: Call for Entries - Light and Shadow Calls for Submissions - Photography Photo Gallery A juried international photography exhibition. December 17, 2015 – January 5, 2016. Creating unique effects with lights and shadows captured by a camera is, according to many, one of the most important means of photographic expression. Photographers have relied on the possibilities offered by the interplay between lights and shadows throughout the history of photography. In some cases lights and shadows are
used to the effect of creating a formal compositional element; in others their role is to guide our gaze or focus our attention on specific parts of the image. The ways lights and shadows contribute to photographic meaning only depend on the imagination of the photographer. PH21 Gallery invites photographers to submit their work for a group exhibition themed Light and Shadow. We are looking for submissions from all photographers who are interested in this time-honoured photographic subject and
would like to share their work with a wider international audience through the exposure of PH21 Gallery. The theme is broadly construed; we welcome submissions from all photographic genres, including abstract compositions. We are interested in all possible creative photographic interpretations of the theme.

Fair Calls for Submissions - Acrylic, Ceramics, Crafts, Digital Media, Fiber, Glass, Mosaic, Graphic Design, Drawing/Illustration, Jewelry, Mixed media, Metalsmithing, Sculpture, Oil, Pastel, Photography, Watercolor, Video/Film Other Be part of FABRIK EXPO in Los Angeles, an exciting art
fair showcasing the best contemporary artists, designers, and collaborative groups from the U.S. and internationally. FABRIK EXPO provides artists a venue to showcase their work in a professional art fair environment, the same way galleries do in art fairs such as Art Basel and The Armory Show. In the past, galleries played an important and vital role in representing and nurturing artists. However, that system can no longer support the amount of good artists who seek representation today, or who
are working in unconventional media and forms. Through FABRIK EXPO, artists, designers and collaborative groups can directly present and discuss their work with curators, gallery directors, dealers, collectors, editors, publishers, writers, educators, developers & cultural organizations, those who seek to find, invest in, promote and support the finest established, emerging and undiscovered artistic talent available today. We welcome painters, photographers, printmakers, sculptors,
assemblage artists, installation artists, high concept designers, digital & media artists, book & graphic artists, muralists, performance artists, and those working in a cross-section of materials and contexts such as textiles, ceramics, wearables, public art, experimental architecture, environmental & social projects and various printed art forms. As a previous exhibitor put it... "I love this fair! I believe artists should develop their own lists of contacts and collectors to
empower themselves so they can become less reliant on dealers and galleries for their livelihoods." - Elisabeth Sunday, U.S.

| | DEADLINE DECEMBER 19, 2015 - $550 in Awards The Garden Realm: Floral in Watercolour Contests, Juried Art Shows - Watercolor Art Gallery The beauty of flowers brings joy to the heart and comfort to the soul. Whether a walk down a garden path, or discovering fragile gentle beauty on a woodland trail, flowers have been a silent still and inspiring subject throughout time. Flowers express love, celebrate rights of passage, such as marriage, birth and
death, providing peace for the weary and comfort for the stressed. They are the passion and tenderness of the lover. Comfort for the grieving. Happiness of new beginnings and the innocence of childhood. Pre-cursor to the bountiful harvest and symbolic expressions of faith. On a sunny window sill, clinging precariously to a mountain crevice or pushing determinately through concrete. Prolific and fleeting, flowers reflect the divine in nature, words, dreams and paint. LithaMoonGallery, Greensboro,
Georgia, is looking for 35-40 works in watercolour. The theme for the competition is flowers, gardens or woodland/meadow scenes where flowers are the dominant subject. Original still-life, representational or abstract compositions will be considered for this exhibition scheduled for February 2016. Special Early entry of $30 per 5 images expires September 1, 2015

We feel this work is necessary and important. We thank all those who participate and/or support this. We want to make very clear that this is a celebration, not a provocation. It is motivated by the incredible diversity and unqiue female perspective in the creative process that we have come in contact with
over the years. It is asking for attention and ARTROM Network has answered that call since 2008 with a series of international competitions and many exhibitions at the Artist Presentation Space in Rome, Italy Online Event
