Mississippi River Photo Shoot-Out Juried Exhibition Deadline: February 17, 2016
A collaborative effort between the Jacoby Arts Center and Corps of Engineer's National Great Rivers Museum, in Alton, Illinois.
An exhibition to bring together a collection of outstanding contemporary photographs interpreting, documenting, and celebrating the Mississippi River and life along the Mississippi. Photographs submitted for the juried exhibit may be taken anywhere along the river from its Minnesota headwaters to the Gulf of Mexico. Photographs can be of any subject including, but not limited to, sights and scenes depicting riverscapes, recreation, commerce, wildlife, weather conditions, nature and natural
phenomena. Rivers that flow into the Mississippi River will not be considered for the exhibit other than images of their confluence with the Mississippi River. The river itself does not need to appear in every photograph to be eligible for the exhibition, but to be considered the subject matter must have a direct relationship with the river.
Entry Guidelines:
This exhibition is open to all photographers, amateur and professional, 18 years or older. Photographs submitted must be original, and must have been created within the last three years (since January 1, 2013).

- Grand Prize Scholarship Award - $500
- Peoples Choice Award - $300
- First Prize in each category - $200
- Second prize in each category - $100.
- 10 Merit Awards - $50 Bass Pro Shops Gift Cards
Entry Fee
Photographers may submit up to two photographs for a non-refundable entry fee of $30.00. Up to three additional entries may be submitted at $10 for each entry. Photographers are limited to entering 5 photographs.
