Mac FAQ Cover Art Contest
Call
for Entries - Deadline: September 30, 2012
We're looking for artists and graphic designers to design the next Tekserve
Mac FAQ book cover. Three finalists will be chosen to win over $4,100
in prizes from Adobe and Tekserve and one design will be featured on
over 10,000 copies of Tekserve's Mac FAQ. The Tekserve Mac FAQ is the
pocket guide for trouble-shooting your Mac.
Tekserve offers
Mac sales, service, and good advice -- online, over the phone, and at
their 25,000 square foot facility in New York City. You may enter two
designs before the deadline. For prizes and design specifics,
please visit the contest page. Enter up to two covers by September
30th, 2012.

Specifics
Size: 4.25" wide by 7" tall with 1/8" to
1/4" full bleed
Resolution: 300 dpi
Printing: Printed on 100# glossy cover
stock in color
Binding: Perfect bound. Submitting a
back cover and spine design is optional.
Required
Elements
- Uses a Tekserve logo on the cover (download
Tekserve logos)
- Theme Idea: The cover should communicate that
the answers to your Mac problems are in this book and come from
Tekserve. (Other themes and ideas are welcome too.)
- The Apple logo may not be used except as part
of the Apple Specialist logo. The "Apple Specialist" logo can be found here.
- Includes the following text:
- Tekserve Mac FAQ (book title)
- Twelfth Edition (subtitle)
- Mac OS X 10.7 & 10.8 (subtitle)
- David Lerner, Paul Dunford, and Michael
Truskowski (editors)
How to Enter
Entries must be emailed to faq@tekserve.com
by midnight EST on September 30, 2012.
Attach a JPEG or PNG copy of your cover design. Attachments must be 5MB
or less.
Include your name, email address, mailing address, and phone number in
the body of your email.
Entries will be judged by the editors of the Tekserve Mac FAQ and
Tekserve's graphic design staff. Finalists will be contacted via email
by October 15th, 2012 and posted online. The winner will receive
the grand prize and the other two finalists will receive $250 Tekserve
Gift cards. All entrants must be 14 years old or older and reside in
the United States.
