The Zebra Awards - Black and White Competition
Call for Artists - Deadline:  October 31st, 2012

Black and white photography is as simple as it is complex, carefully weaving streaks of  light into the black-unknown, giving rise to lines, shapes, textures, emotions and stories. TZIPAC is proud to celebrate this magic of black and white photography with The Zebra Awards 2012 . With $5000 worth of grand prizes and our custom-made TZIPAC medals up for grabs, we hope The Zebra Awards 2012 will bring to light the marvellously diverse and vibrant visions of black and white photography from many amazing artists worldwide.

Amongst the category winners, the grand winner for each division will be determined. Judging

Judging The Zebra Awards 2012 will be four internationally celebrated judges: Binh Trinh, Dominic Rouse, Monika Brand and Larry Louie. Information about these judges and sample of their works are shown on the TZIPAC website.

TZIPAC competitions will undergo a 'blind judging' where judges will not be aware of any information about the authorship of specific submissions.

Judging for each competition will comprise of two stages: (1) initial screening, and (2) judge scoring. Initial screening ensures that submissions meet a minimum level of technical quality and conform to the specified image requirements. Submissions which passes the initial screening will be forwarded to the competition's panel of judges for scoring. The images scores determine the top placings for professionals and non-professionals in each category, as well as the competition's other 'Finalists' and grand award winner(s).
