Call for Artists

On March 24th, 2013 in Boston's historic Faneuil Hall at Ned Devine's, 150 Artists will compete in a 2 hour competition for a $1,000 prize pool. After the 2 hour competition, all artists will submit their  paintings into a silent auction for 1 hour for the general public to bid on. Limited to the first 150 artists. Sign up today before it sells out! Free to the general public to come and watch.

   

Location:
Ned Devine's - Situated  among the cobbled pathways of historic Quincy Market, Ned Devine’s is a Faneuil Hall favorite for its lively happy hour and vibrant nightlife. A single destination for food, fun and entertainment, Ned Devine’s offers a cozy, upper level dining room and spacious dance floor for revelers to rock out each weekend.
Located at 1 N Market St, Boston, MA 02109.

Entry Fee:
The $45 artist entry fee into the competition includes 1 free drink per entry and all painting supplies (see below).

Schedule:
March 24th, 2013
4 PM: 2 hour "freestyle" competition to see who's the best artist in Boston.
(DJ Iron Man Dave will be spinning tunes for added inspiration)

6 PM: 1 hour silent auction where the artist will get half of the selling price and the other half will go to charity (Brain Tumor Society and Artists for Humanity).

Details:
To level the playing field, all contestants that enter will be required to use ONLY the supplies provided by Paint Nite which include:

-16 x 20 canvas.
-Set of 5 brushes.
-Acrylic paint- Primary colors ONLY- Black, White, Red, Yellow, and Blue
-Apron
-Table top easel
-A plastic water cup
-Pallet

Sales:
The artist will get 1/2 of the auction selling price. The other 1/2 will be donated to the National Brian Tumor Society and Artists for Humanity.

All artists must agree to put their painting into the silent auction at the end of the competition.
If the painting does not sell the artist can take the painting home.

Judging:
Judges will be local Art Gallery owners, Art professors, On-line Art Magazine owner Ross Gronold from OTSTE.com. Winning artists will have the opportunity highlight their art to a larger audience.

Prizes:
1st place: $500
2nd place: $250
3rd place: $150
Honorable mention: $100
