citizenM hotels is pleased to launch a ‘Luggage’ themed photo
competition for citizenM hotel Amsterdam City. This competition is both
free and open to all citizens. Once you read about the cool prizes
available to the Top 100+ photos, you’ll be itching to grab your camera
and snap away. The nominated and winning photos will be printed on our
lobby windows. Last, but not least, the Top 3 will win € 500 each,
additional publicity, and free hotel nights -- hello luxurious XL king
sized bed!s
ELIGIBILITY
Any person worldwide may submit 3 images for free.
THEME
citizenM is looking for ‘Luggage’ themed photographs. The artist may
interpret the theme as he or she wants. In fact, we encourage artists
to do so. Don’t be afraid of creativity and originality. Keep in mind
the photography does not need to display luggage on the image (yes:
think about that one!). Be ingenuitive. Make sure you submit a high
quality image, especially if you want to win one of the Top 3 prizes! A
high quality image is required to enlarge the photo. You could even
elevate your work by adding some kind of text to the photo (if it might
be helpful for the jury). Or, how about adding a poem? Have you
considered adding a video presentation? Now that would be daring, but
we bet it would capture the attention of our jury.
AWARDS
100+ nominees
The trusty staff at citizenM will have the pleasure of selecting
nominated photos. At least 100 photos will be used to make two or three
collages of artwork, and each collage will fill the size of one hotel
lobby window. The names of all winning artists will also be printed on
each collage. So here’s what you’ve probably been waiting for--the
skinny on what all nominated artists receive:
- Exposure on citizenM hotel lobby window of
citizenM Amsterdam City for the duration of minimum 2 months in the
form of a collage (together with other works of art)
- Exposure on various citizenM social media
channels
- Invitation for two people to the unveiling
ceremony
3 winners
Our well-appointed jury consisting of three art specialists will each
choose one winner. All winners will be awarded the following:
- Exposure of the winning photo on a dedicated
window of citizenM Amsterdam City for the duration of minimum 2 months
- € 500
- Invitation for the unveiling ceremony
- Artist profile feature on citizenMag
- One free night at citizenM London Bankside or
New York Times Square
