Convozine's January Illustration Challenge - Call For Entries
The Assignment: res·o·lu·tion
Definition:
1.the mental state or quality of being resolved or resolute; firmness of purpose.
2.the degree of sharpness of a computer-generated image as measured by the number of dots per linear inch.
3.a solution, accommodation, or settling of a problem, controversy, etc.
Use the tools at your disposal to create a single image or illustration that explores the concept of resolution. How you choose to approach it is up to you. You may use any combination of tools to create your image. Photography, drawing, digital 2D or 3D tools -- whatever suites your fancy. Go wild. Prizes:
First Place: US$500 and a hardcover bound coffee table book, containing the four winning entries and a collection of other noteworthy entries from this challenge, chosen by our editorial team.
Second Place: US$300 and a softcover bound coffee table book, containing the four winning entries and a collection of other noteworthy entries from this challenge, chosen by our editorial team.
Third Place: US$200 and and a softcover bound coffee table book, containing the four winning entries and a collection of other noteworthy entries from this challenge, chosen by our editorial team.
People's Choice Award
The people's choice prizes goes to the entry that have been given the greatest number of awards by other Convozine users. The winner in this category will receive US$500 and a hardcover bound coffee table book, containing the four winning entries and a collection of other noteworthy entries from this challenge, chosen by our editorial team.
For everyone, the award book will be available for free as a downloadable pdf.
Entries begin now. Voting runs through Jan 31st, 2011.
Limit: four entries per person.
Winners will be announced on Feb 3rd, 2011.
