Exhibition Theme: The Working
Waterfront Community
The Working Waterfront Coalition of Portland, Oregon is sponsoring this
event to celebrate the
cultural health of the Working Waterfront Community. The goal of this
exhibition is to utilize
artistic expression to promote awareness of place and community
benefiting environment and
education. The WWC seeks to establish relationships with accomplished
artists that reflect the
people who work in these types of industries and the surrounding
industrial environments, to
present their artwork for the premiere exhibition of Industry &
Art: The Rivers Run Through Us.
Entry Procedures:
Multi-media open to all artists. Entries must be original work. Artists
must be 18 years of age.
Each artist may submit up to three entries in JPEG format to
industry&art@vigorindustrial.com
attention: Brenda Smola. Please include specifics of artwork including:
title, date, medium,
dimensions, and retail value.
Deadline for
entries is July 1, 2011.

Awards:
Best of Show, First, Second and Third Place, as well as Sponsor Awards.
Exhibition Conditions:
Artists/galleries will be notified of juror's selections July 25, 2011
via email with consignment
agreements attached. Directions will be sent to participants along with
the consignment
contract. Deadline to send back consignment form is July 27th, 2011.
All artwork is to be
delivered to designated location on September 17th & 18th.
Public Show dates are September
22-25, 2011. Exhibition Preview Party for selected sponsors and VIP is
September 21st. All
exhibiting artists are invited to attend.
