MysteryBuild.com: A Contest of Ingenuity
Call for Entries
- 10,000 in prizes - Deadline September 16th, 2012
How it works:
- Purchase a Mystery Build Materials Kit at MysteryBuild.com on
or after December 1st, 2011.
- Create a work of art using ONLY the materials
in the Kit, around the contest's Theme : Your
Favorite Movie.
- Upload photos or videos of your creation to
mysterybuild.com
- Over $10,000 in cash prizes. Winners are
selected by a panel of judges and online public voting.
- The specific materials in the Kit will be
unknown to you at the time of purchase, but you can expect to find some
common sculpting materials like wood, metal, clay, and fiber. The Kits
are 10" wide and 3.5" deep and contain around 3.5 lbs. of materials.
- Enter individually or as a team.
- Enter as many times as you want, using multiple
Mystery Build Kits. The contents of multiple Kits may not be combined
into a single Entry. You may use one Kit per Entry and create one Entry
per Kit.
- For sale December 2011 through August 2012.
Submissions are due by September 16, 2012.
- The Kits are available in Silver and Gold
Editions. The materials in the two Editions are the same. The Gold Kits
include a voucher for a Mystery Build T-Shirt and a Mystery Build Tips
and Tricks DVD. The T-Shirt and DVD may not be used as materials in
your Entry.

2nd Place : $1,000
3rd Place : $750
4th Place : $500
5th Place : $250
6th Place : $250
7th Place : $250
The People's Choice Award (Public Voting
Winner): $1000
Mystery Build Prize Drawing : $1000
Bonus Awards:
Winning Entrants who meet the following
criteria will receive an additional Bonus Award.
The Entry is kinetic or has numerous moving
parts: $250
The Entry is in the form of a stop motion
animation: $250
The Entrant submits a photograph or video of
the Mystery Build Entry or Mystery Build Kit with a celebrity listed in
the IMDb: $250
The Entry reflects a movie starring our Mystery
Celebrity: $250
Mystery Build Prize Packs: The top 100 entries
will receive a Prize Pack including a Mystery Build T-shirt
Nationwide exposure - Winning entries will be
displayed on Mystery Build websites and promotions.
