Call for Artists - Deadline: June 5th, 2012

New Emerging Artists is accepting submissions for a group show at the Houston Fine Art Fair, September 14-16, 2012. This is a prestigious exhibition which draws 15,000 visitors yearly and draws all Major art publications.

We are seeking 5 talented and outstanding contemporary artists to showcase and sell their best art. We are looking for artists of all levels who are serious about getting their art in front of a large audience and taking the next step in their art career.Those chosen to exhibit will get major exposure and 70% commission on all work sold.

To Apply, Submit 3-5 images of your best art in JPG, TIFF, GIF formats. Statement optional but recommended. Resume optional but recommended. If Selected to Exhibit, resume and statement required (NEA + HFAF press kits, printed catalogues, marketing materials).

New Emerging artists supports emerging and mid-career artists by offering access to major exhibitions, increased exposure, and opportunities to sell their art. Our mission is to help emerging artists build their resume and exhibition history and secure the press coverage they need to make a living selling their art.

Eligibility

  • artists 18+ working in any medium
  • represented artists with non-exclusive gallery contracts

Submisssion

  • all work must be original and completed within the past 3 years
  • artwork more than 72" in any direction
  • video/installation accepted

Notification

  • top 5 finalists will be notified by email and phone on the notification date
  • winner consignment agreeement non-binding

Application Fee

  • Industry Standard Entry fee of $35 per Exhibition
  • $100 for 4

The Awards

  • 5 finalists will show at the exhibitions(s) of choice
  • Marketing & PR
  • 70% commission of all sold

Upload Specifications

  • 3-5 images of your best art
  • provide title, medium, dimension, year
  • JPG, GIF, PNG, TIFF formats, each image no more than 1 MB
  • artist bio optional, but suggested

Logistics

  • artwork due date within 2 weeks after notification
  • we pay for shipping of all artwork.

  • We will not share your personal information with any third parties
  • We will not sell reproductions of your art
