Call for Artists - Deadline: June 27, 2012

The Images from a Glass Eye, International Juried Photography Show, 2012 is sponsored by the Tehama County Photo Club of Red Bluff, California. Scheduled for August 24 through October 26, 2012, the show will be exhibited at The Big Picture, 857 Washington Street, Red Bluff, California.

Sponsored by the Tehama County Photo Club, Images from a Glass Eye is your opportunity to share your work with the international art community.

$1,750 in total prizes. $1,000 for Best of Show. Accepted works will be exhibited in the gallery for two months and posted on our website. The Big Picture Gallery is located in Red Bluff, California, the Gateway to Mt. Lassen. Its location on the banks of the beautiful Sacramento River make it a prime stopover for travelers on the I-5 corridor.

Our juror is Tony Sweet, renown photographer, photo educator and author. His work is published worldwide in every medium. He lectures regularly on the PPA schools circuit and at photography events throughout North America.

Awards:

  • $1,000 - Best in show
  • $500 - Second Place
  • $250 - Third Place

Calendar:

  • JUN 27, 2012 - Deadline for entries
  • JUL 18, 2012 - Notification of accepted work
  • AUG 17, 2012 - Deadline for delivery of framed pieces and Artists Statements
  • AUG 24, 2012 - Show opens with Artists Reception & Awards Ceremony
  • OCT 26, 2012 - Show Closes           

Eligibility:

Any photographer 18 or older may enter the show. Entries may be captured either digitally or on film. Works must be captured and post-processed solely by the entrant (except for film developing and printing). Works accepted for prior "Images from a Glass Eye" shows are not eligible.

Entry Fees:

$30 for the first three images and $8 for each additional image. All entry fees will be charged to your credit card and are non-refundable. There is no limit on the number of images you can enter.

Sales:

Sales will be encouraged and promoted. A 20% commission will be charged on all sales.
