Juried Photographic Exhibit 2012 - Call for Entries

Gallery 14 invites artists working in all photographic media to submit works for a juried photographic exhibition which will be held July 13-August 12 at Gallery 14, 14 Mercer Street, Hopewell, NJ. The exhibit is open to all excluding current members of Gallery 14.
Submission Guidelines 1. Submit up to 5 JPEG images on one CD only (no other submissions will be considered).
2. Mail submissions to Gallery 14, 14 Mercer Street, Hopewell, NJ 08525. All submissions must include an entry fee of $25 check, payable to Gallery 14. You may also bring your submission to the gallery during our regular hours: Saturdays and Sundays, noon to 5 pm.
Judge
Judith K. Brodsky
received her BA from Harvard University and her MFA from the Tyler School of Art, Temple University. She is Distinguished Professor Emerita, Visual Arts Department, Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University; founding director of the Rutgers Center for Innovative Print and Paper, renamed the Brodsky Center in her honor; co-founder and co-director with Ferris Olin of the Rutgers Institute for Women and Art, a member institute of the Rutgers Institute for Women's Leadership and The Feminist Art Project, a national program to promote women artists in the cultural milieu. Brodsky was the chair of Philagrafika 2010, an international contemporary visual arts festival focusing on the printed image; past national president of the Women's Caucus for Art , the College Art Association, and ArtTable; chair of the art department , former dean, and former associate provost at Rutgers University's Newark campus. She was a contributor to the first history of the American women's movement in art, called The Power of Feminist Art . Brodsky has organized and curated many exhibitions among them 100 New Jersey Artists Make Prints, 2002 - 2007 which traveled throughout the United States and internationally to Middle East and Africa venues. Brodsky's prints are in The Library of Congress; Victoria & Albert Museum; The Stadtsmuseum, Berlin; Grunwald Center for the Graphic Arts, University of California at Los Angeles; Rhode Island School of Design Museum; and the Harvard University Museums among others.
Selection All entrants will be notified of the juror's decision by email after June 20.
Photographs selected for exhibit must be brought to the Gallery ready for hanging on July 9 and 10 from noon to 5 PM. Size of framed prints must correspond exactly to the size stated in your submission and no wider than 26 inches, no exceptions.
Gallery 14 will make every reasonable effort to protect your work while it is in our possession, but will not be legally responsible for it. Insure your work individually if that is a concern.
The Gallery will receive a 30% commission if your work sells while on display at the Gallery.
