The theme for this juried exhibition will focus
on a wide range of artwork that explores a creative interpretation of
"spaces" and "places." Contemporary and traditional subject matter
encouraged. About the Juror: DeWitt Cheng is a San Francisco-based art
critic who writes for Art Ltd., Artillery, Sculpture, Huffington Post,
Visual Art Source, East Bay Express and DeWittCheng.com. He has degrees
in art history and studio art, and does freelance writing and
curating.The Village Theatre Art Gallery is located in the Town of
Danville which is situated in the East Bay of Northern California. This

International Juried Show To Celebrate All Forms
of Digital Art! DIGITAL ARTS: CALIFORNIA invites digital artists and
photographers worldwide to submit works for “Wide Open Digital,” a
juried digital-arts exhibit that will celebrate every form of digital
art, including digital painting/illustration, photo manipulation, 3D
still digital art, light painting, fractals, vector art, HDR
photography, 3D computer-generated imagery, digital college, "glitch"
work, and generative art. This exhibit will be held both online AND in
a physical gallery in Los Angeles, San Diego, or another California art
center. Works selected by our expert jurors as finalists will be
showcased in solo, online galleries, each devoted to only one artist or
photographer. These galleries will remain online for seven months. Top
award-winners will also appear in a physical-gallery show. An example
of a solo online gallery in our current show can be seen at our
prospectus link.We use a broad definition of "digital art": any work
whose creation or presentation involves a digital process that enhances

challenges. This month, we are accepting submissions for an iPhone case
design challenge. The requirements are quite liberal; artists are
welcome to submit any 2-D art (including works from their pre-existing
portfolios). We are not looking for art on a specific subject. Instead,
we are encouraging submissions that tell a story and express creative
individuality.The winner will receive $500 plus a commission on sales.

You are invited to submit photographs for the
Tenth Anniversary SlowExposures Photography Exhibition in Pike County,
Georgia (one hour South of Atlanta’s Hartsfield Jackson airport).
Successful images will capture those qualities that call to mind the
rural American South with its unique sense of place, diversity,
contradictions and complexity. Our 2012 jurors are Brett Abbott,
Photography Curator of the High Museum of Art in Atlanta and Julian
Cox, Founding Curator of Photography of the Fine Arts Museums of San
Francisco. They will select up to 90 images in a blind jury process.
You may enter up to six (6) images online. All work must be original to
the artist and have been photographed within the past four (4) years.
An entry fee of $50 must accompany online entry and may be paid through
credit card or PayPal. The entry deadline is midnight June 15th and the

must be brought in person to the gallery. Please do not ship art, bring
images, CD’s or other reproductions of your work. Artists are solely

Embracing Our Differences invites art submissions
for its 10th annual outdoor art exhibit celebrating diversity. National
and international submissions are encouraged. 39 artists will be
selected for the exhibit. The Exhibit will be displayed April and May
2013 at Island Park along Sarasota, Florida’s beautiful bayfront. Since
2004, the exhibit has been viewed by more than 1,300,000 visitors. The
exhibit will contain 38 billboard-sized (16 feet wide by 12 1/2 feet
high) images of the selected artworks. Final selections will be chosen
based on artistic excellence in reflection of the theme “embracing our
differences”. Submissions will also be evaluated on how effectively it
will read outdoors when enlarged to billboard size. Final selections
will be made by a 3-judge panel of professional artists, curators and
art professionals. A total of $3,000.00 in awards will be
presented.Submissions must be postmarked no later than January 7, 2013.
There is no submission fee nor limit on the number of entries.The
mission of Embracing Our Differences is to use art as a catalyst for
creating awareness and promoting the value of diversity, the benefits
of inclusion and the significance of the active rejection of hatred and
