DEADLINE FEBRUARY 02, 2010 The Se.x Issue: Volume 5 Projekt30 will host its fifth annual se.x themed exhibition, showcasing fine artists who comment upon gender and se.x in our society. We are accepting work ranging from the personal, to the political, to the near-po.rn.og.ra.phic. The exhibition will be publicly juried: Artwork submitted will be presented prior to the exhibition so visitors may help select what will be included, unlike other juried exhibitions everyone receives exposure. DEADLINE FMARCH 01, 2009 Projekt30's April 2010 Exhibition Projekt30 is an artist-run arts organization dedicated to promoting emerging artists. In addition to providing professional websites and web hosting for hundreds of fine artists, since 2003 we have conducted over 90 online juried exhibitions, featured the artwork of thousands of artists, and have facilitated the sale of thousands of artworks. Each year, Projekt30 receives roughly one tenth the number of visitors as the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. We are currently seeking submissions for our April 2010 Exhibition. DEADLINE MARCH 26, 2010 2010 Outstanding Student Achievement in Contemporary Sculpture Awards Each year the International Sculpture Center presents an award competition to its member colleges and universities as a means of supporting, encouraging, and recognizing the work of young sculptors and their supporting schools' faculty and art program. The Student Award winners participate in an exhibition at Grounds For Sculpture, as well as a traveling exhibition hosted by arts organizations across the country. Winners' work is also featured in Sculpture magazine. Each winner receives a one-year membership at the ISC and all winners are eligible to apply for a full sponsored residency to study in Switzerland. The Center for Contemporary Art is announcing a juried competition "Art in Architecture" to celebrate its inauguration as the new art center in New Jersey, replacing the 40 year old Somerset Art Association in the fall 2010 "Art in Architecture" intends to generate ideas about the relationship and interaction between the two. The thematic goal is to seek images about architecture as a repository for art, revealing how art is expressed in architecture, and how art and architecture affect and are affected by each other. Each month of the competition, a professional artist juror selects and critiques 12 finalist paintings from the monthly entries. These finalists are announced by the 15th of the following month. At the end of the 12 months of the competition, a final artist judge will choose the 12 award winners from these 144 monthly finalists. Competition began August 1, 2009 and is currently in progress. The last day to enter for a particular month is the last day of that month. Throughout the duration of the contest, monthly finalists' names and websites are displayed on RayMar Art's site so collectors may contact you directly. Previous years' winners also remain on our site for continued recognition. Previous judges include Kevin Macpherson, Betty Carr, Jeremy Lipking, Greg LaRock, William Scott Jennings, Joanne Larue and many others. DEADLINE AUGUST 18, 2010 - $4250 in Awards Paint The Forests 2010 Juried Art And Photo Competition The Redwood Forest Foundation, Inc (RFFI) today announced the launch of its "Paint The Forests 2010 Juried Art and Photo Competition". RFFI's goals in sponsoring this competition are to promulgate its version of sustainable forestry and assemble the finest collection of representational, two-dimensional art and photography that depicts the beauty, plight and economic vitality of forests across the United States. The competition is open to all artists and photographers, professional or amateur. National winners will be awarded Gold and Silver Medals in each of the art and photo categories and Bronze Medals will be awarded in each of the 9 Forest Regions. Winners will be featured in a National Touring Exhibit beginning in the San Francisco area on September 3, 2010.
