Open to artists in Arkansas, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas

Entry Fees: 1-3 entries, $30 for ANA members, $35 for non-members.

Awards: Over $3000 in prizes

Juror: Denise LaRue Mahlke
D.LaRue Mahlke draws inspiration from the spiritual connection she feels toward her subject. She is inspired by the rugged landscape and vast sky of the American West and the western hill country of Texas where she lives.
She has won numerous honors and awards. Most recently she was a finalist in the 2009 American Artist Cover Competition; second place for animal and wildlife category in the Pastel Journal 100 competition in 2009; first place in pastels at the Scottsdale Artists School Best and Brightest Show in 2006. She has exhibited at the Gilcrease Museum’s American Art Miniature in 2007-2009 in Tulsa, OK.; at the Desert Caballeros Western Museum in Wickenburg, AZ and C.M.Russell Musuem’s Fine Art Show along with numerous other exhibits and shows. She is a board member of the Central Texas Pastel Society, a member of the American Impressionist Society and Oil Painters of America.
