PROLIFIC IMPRESSIONS: PRINTMAKING NOW - OPEN CALL! FOR CLIMATE/GALLERY'S MAY EXHIBITION!
The gallery's mission is to find and exhibit artists from all over the United States and
the world. The gallery provides opportunities for artist's work to be seen by curators
and other arts professionals working in New York. We actively review artists who
participate in our shows for traditional representation and other opportunities, such as
inclusion in our Flat File inventory.
ALL ARTISTS ARE WELCOME WORLD WIDE YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE IN NEW YORK CITY TO PARTICIPATE IN
CLIMATE/GALLERYEXHIBITIONS
Our exhibitions are not juried. We are an anti-jury gallery in that we feel
that asking artists to submit work for a fee and then leaving over 90% of them out without comment is unfair.
The Printmaker is a most peculiar being. He [she] delights in deferred gratification and in doing what does not
come naturally. He [she] takes pleasure in working backward or in opposites: the gesture that produces a line of
force moving to the right prints to the left, and vice versa; a deeply engraved trench in a copper or zinc plate
prints as a depression in the paper. Left is right. Right is left. Backward is forward. The Printmaker, peculiar as
he [she] is, must see at least two sides to every question. Jules Heller, Printmaking Today
10 Featured Artist Awards chosen by Kelly Driscoll, Professor of Fine Arts, Pratt Institute. Ms.
Driscoll is a Professor of Printmaking and is the Coordinator of Pratt in Tuscany. The gallery will
publish an exhibition catalogue that will include work from the show of the 10 artists. The 10 artists will
be featured on the gallery's website. Every artist in the exhibition will have a listing in the catalogue
with one thumbnail image. All show artists will be archived under the Exhibitions pages on the gallery's
website.
EACH ARTIST MAY SUBMIT 2 PIECES PER ENTRY FOR THE EXHIBITION
FEE - $35.00 for 2 works.
