Unlike other juried exhibitions, all participants receive exposure. Projekt30 is an artist-run arts organization dedicated to promoting emerging artists. In addition to providing professional websites and web hosting for hundreds of fine artists, since 2003 we have conducted over 90 online juried exhibitions, featured the artwork of thousands of artists, and have facilitated the sale of thousands of artworks. The winning video "What Does it Mean to Be Free" was an inspirational piece that communicated the ideals of the open source operating system. To watch videos submitted for last year's contest, including the winning submission, please click here. This year we want to up the game and uncover more talent. What if the Linux community had its own ad running during the Super Bowl? How would you convey the power of Linux in a 30 - 60 video spot that would air during the big game? Just like last year we want you to be in charge. While the Linux Foundation could write a detailed creative brief and tell you exactly what to do, it's not our style (or hopefully yours.) Linux isn't a top-down, commercially controlled operating system. It's a grassroots product of mass collaboration. But here are a few questions to think about: Website : http://www.linuxfoundation.org Prospectus: http://video.linuxfoundation.org/contest/we-are-linux-superbowl-ad-contest ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ DEADLINE APRIL 12, 2010 PhotoPlace Open 2010 Juried Photo Exhibition at PhotoPlace GalleryPhotoPlace Gallery is honored to announce that KEITH CARTER be the juror for our first annual PHOTOPLACE OPEN exhibition. The Printmaker is a most peculiar being... delights in deferred gratification and in doing what does not come naturally. He [she] takes pleasure in working backward or in opposites: the gesture that produces a line of force moving to the right prints to the left, and vice versa; a deeply engraved trench in a copper or zinc plate prints as a depression in the paper. Left is right. Right is left. Backward is forward. The Printmaker... must see at least two sides to every question. Jules Heller.
