Joseph Devon Wants Your Fan Art - Call for Submissions
- Go read Probability Angels if you haven’t done so already. Trust me, you’ll like it.
- Create an original work of art based on it. Like a scene? Like a setting? Like a character? Go ahead and sketch or paint or whatever it is you do to your heart’s content. I don’t want to specify what sort of thing I’m looking for here because I don’t want to limit your creative gray matter. If you can e-mail it to me then it’s submittable. The only limit is no written works. Sorry. Lot’s of reasons for this but simple time constraints alone make it hard to read other people’s stories.
- Email your content to joe@josephdevon.com with the word “Contest” in the subject line.
- The contest ends April 30th and then a few weeks after that my judges and I will pick one work as the Grand Prize Winner who will receive their choice of *EITHER1) a Wacom Tablet *OR2) a copy of Photoshop Lightroom as well as this color calibration thing as well as a Spyder3 Elite *OR3) a copy of Adobe Illustrator. Sorry for the caps but I need to make sure people don’t think they can win all of these things. It’s a choice of one of these prize packages. 1 and 3 only contain one item but 2 contains three items.
Here are some rules:
- Submit as many times as you like.
- Entries must be e-mailed to joe@josephdevon.com with “Contest” in the subject line and your art attached. If you have some difficult to email art please contact me and we’ll try and work something out. I don’t know, like if you knit a sweater then I’d probably be okay with a photograph of the sweater.
- The winner will be decided by a panel of judges. All decisions of the judges are final.
- The contest will close on April 30th, 2010.
- You retain all rights to your submission but grant me the right to use your content for marketing purposes.
- By submitting a work you are attesting that, to the best of your knowledge, your entry is your original work and that you have full power and authority to enter your submission under the terms outlined herein. You also verify that the work provided as your entry is free of matter that is libelous, an invasion of privacy, or is in any other way unlawful. And you further warrant that the Work does not infringe upon any statutory copyright, common-law literary right, or proprietary right of any third party. Obviously, though, you are granted the right to create derivative works from Probability Angels for this contest.
- All entrants will receive an email announcing the winner.
- If the winner lives in an area where the above prizes are non-functioning or impossible to obtain then they will be compensated with a prize of similar design and value. My last big contest I had some problems trying to send a Kindle to England…but it all worked out in the end.
Good luck and have fun!
Deadline: April 30, 2010
