Juried Photography Exhibition at PhotoPlace Gallery - Natural Wonders

PhotoPlace Gallery seeks photographs of the natural world, from sublime landscape vistas to detailed views of the forest floor. As our relationship to our planet seems increasingly fragile, images that encourage us to appreciate natural wonders seem ever more important.

Juror David Middleton will choose approximately forty photographs for exhibition on the walls of PhotoPlace Gallery and on this website, and another thirty-five for presentation on the website alone in the "On-Line Gallery Annex." All seventy-five photographs will be included in a full-color exhibition catalogue to be published with Blurb Books. To help exhibiting artists defray costs, we offer free matting and framing of photographs for the duration of the exhibition, providing they are sized to fit our pre-cut mats and standard frames.

JUROR: David Middleton is a full-time professional outdoor photographer and writer. A passion for natural history and teaching led him to photography and then soon to writing. A passion for sharing his work and helping others led him to leading tours and teaching workshops.

David has led more than 150 nature/photography tours and over 200 photography workshops in places such as Alaska, Arctic Canada, the National Parks of the US, Costa Rica, Ecuador & the Galapagos Islands, Antarctica and the Falkland Islands.  His workshops have been offered through the National Audubon Society, the National Wildlife Federation, Maine Photographic Workshops, the Rocky Mountain School of Photography, and the Santa Fe Workshops.
