    Greetings from TheArtList.com!

I hope that you are enjoying your summer and getting a chance to get outside, be creative, and have some fun. Things have been very busy here at TheArtList and that is a good thing.

On the art opportunity front, we have definitely seen some good submissions come through recently. The summer is always the slower part of the year for the online art world, but it is a great time to plan your fall initiatives and find some good contests or art calls to enter.

It is important to note that although we mail out "featured" art calls a several times a month to our mailing list, there are still lots of regular art calls being submitted daily to our opportunity database. It is a good practice to login often and see what is new. If you are "free" member who is serious about searching for income and exhibition opportunities, we feel that it is highly worth the low annual fee to upgrade and be able to search and save your favorites.

This month, we held our second monthly Artist of the Month call on Facebook. The results were amazing! In fact, we had so many great submissions that it was difficult to select only one. We are going to hold another call for the September AOM soon, so keep your eyes on your inbox.

For those of you that are new to TheArtList, our monthly newsletter only showcases a small sample of featured listings. We have a ton more in the online database. For Premium Members, there is a great little feature on your member homepage that allows you to view all of the new submissions since the last login. When you see something of interest, just click on the "save to favorites" link at the bottom and it will automatically be saved into your "My Opportunities" Manager for later reference.

If you are an older Free Member, Expired Premium Member, or even just a member of the free mailing list, we highly recommend upgrading to a Premium Membership. The cost is only $27/year and having the ability to login and search the art call database without the interruption of full page ads is well worth the small membership fee. Upgrading is as simple as clicking on the Upgrade link in your member area.

August 2010 Artist of The Month
This month we are very excited to showcase Philadelphia Glass Artist, Jon Goldberg as the August 2010 Artist of the Month.

Please take a moment to view Jon's AOM page, his interview and glasswork are fascinating and inspiring: http://www.theartlist.com/aom_08_10.html

Wishing you all a very creative and productive August!

    Best,

    Joseph Hollinshead
