Young Painters, U.S. residents, ages 25 – 35 as of competition entry are invited to participate in an annual juried competition for the 2019 $10,000 William and Dorothy Yeck Award. Entrants should have achieved a significant degree of success as an emerging artist of noteworthy talent. The winner becomes part of the Miami University Painters of the 21st Century
Collection.
Juror 2019: Barry Schwabsky, New York, New York
Barry Schwabsky is art critic for The Nation and co-editor of international reviews for Artforum. He also writes for such publications as the London Review of Books and New Left Review.

Notification
Finalists chosen by the Juror will be notified in mid-October 2018. Images of the finalists' works will be retained by Miami University. The $10,000 Yeck Purchase Award winner may be invited to visit the University to coincide with the 2019
competition.
