Dacia
Gallery invites artists to participate in an exciting summer Artist
Residency Program in picturesque, Sibiu, Romania. The city is located
in Transylvania at the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains. Dacia's
Artist Residency provides an academic program to inspire, refine and
redefine the creative direction of artists in a painting intensive
four-week and two-week program. The application is open to visual
artists worldwide, including all mediums and styles of artwork. Artists
will meet at Dacia's Artist Studio in Sibiu's grand plaza and paint the
figure from life and landscapes in the old city, the mountains and
countryside. Enjoy weekend painting and sketching trips to the
mountains, castles, art museums and medieval Byzantine monasteries to
study ancient frescos and icons. And what’s a trip to Romania without a
visit to the medieval castle of Vlad the Impaler, otherwise known as
Dracula. This is a wonderful opportunity to travel, study and paint
abroad.
